Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their exclusive bancassurance partnership, Citibank and AIA Hong Kong have announced a joint donation of an Automatic Retina Image Analysis (ARIA) test machine to Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service (HKLSS).
This significant contribution marks a decade of prosperous collaboration, yielding a 21-fold and 25-fold growth in customer base and policy numbers respectively.
The partnership, which began in 2014, combines Citibank’s comprehensive wealth management services with AIA Hong Kong’s diverse portfolio of life and health protection products.
This alliance has not only driven impressive business growth but also provided holistic financial and health solutions to customers.
Vicky Kong, Consumer Business Manager of Citibank Hong Kong, highlighted the importance of insurance in financial planning, acknowledging the role of the partnership in supporting customers’ life stages and financial needs.
She emphasized the synergy between Citibank and AIA in enabling customers to lead fulfilling lives.
Alger Fung, CEO of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, reflected on the partnership’s achievements, stressing AIA’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer-centricity.
The donation of the ARIA test machine is an extension of this commitment, aiming to bolster community health and promote illness prevention.
The ARIA machine, valued at over HK$200,000, will be installed at HKLSS’s Health Centre for Primary Care, offering convenient access to fundus photo analysis.
This technology is pivotal in assessing the risks of cognitive diseases like Alzheimer’s and strokes. The initiative is expected to benefit around 3,000 individuals annually, reinforcing the partnership’s dedication to public health and preventative care. – Asia Business Headlines
